  Chapter 1

  Emiliano

“Why don’t you want to take me to your room?” the redhead says breathily, clinging to my bicep with her bright red talons. She’s a beautiful woman who really needs to sleep it off, and not with a man.

“Excuse me,” I spat out, roughly tugging the woman’s hand off my sleeve. It’s not even noon, and she’s sloshed. My staff know when to cut someone off, but not all the hotels care if women are stumbling around or whoring themselves out to a rich suit. I wave to my security to have someone take her to her room and make her sleep.

Just then, an older man, probably in his sixties, comes up and says, “If you touch my wife like that again, we’re going to have a problem.” I cock my brow at this buffoon, coming to me like that.

“Are you booked here?” I calmly ask the man, itching to toss him from my hotel for such disrespect.

  “Yes.”

“Then I suggest you take your little slutty wife to bed or get out of my hotel. I will not tolerate being harassed by a drunk woman or insulted by her inept granddaddy.” I step away, wishing he were twenty years younger and then I’d knock his ass out.

By the time I step into my office, the day’s already been a long one and it’s only noon. I slide off my expensive suit jacket that now smells like high-priced perfume. I toss it onto the coat rack behind the door where the ventilation pulls the air from the room, hoping to get some of the stench of that offensive perfume off before I send it to laundry. I call my head of security who has access to my suite. “Anderson, I need another suit jacket brought down.”

“Black Armani?” he asks, having seen me on camera.

  “Yes. Thanks.”

“In ten.” I end the call and walk over to my sideboard that’s stacked with some of the best liquors for my meetings. I pour myself a glass of whiskey and then drop down onto my sofa to shake off this aggravation. I usually stay away from booze while I’m on the clock, but today went south as soon as I opened my eyes at three in the morning.

One after the other, unsatisfied guests complained about not getting comped, and several bachelorette parties arrived with their eyes on me for a good time. I’m a good-looking man, but I’ve never seen so many women eager to brush up on me today. Worse, two of them were the brides. What is wrong with this world?

I thrust my hands through my hair. “Maybe I need to retire already,” I grumble to myself. At thirty-two, it’s nuts to even consider throwing in the towel, but I’ve lost all interest in owning this hotel or any of the ten that my best friend and I have built from the ground up over the past fourteen years.

I stroll over and refill my glass, then take a seat behind my desk to attempt to get some work done. I take a long drink from my rocks glass and check out the cameras on my three-screen computer to see if there’s any other chaos unfolding around the hotel.

Boom. Chaos hits me dead in the chest as I stare at the cameras. Slamming my glass on top of my mahogany desk, I give no fucks if I damage the ten-thousand-dollar piece of furniture because suddenly my being is too focused on the sweet little thing strolling through the lobby of my hotel. My pants tighten painfully, taking me by surprise.

It’s been so long since I’ve gotten hard looking at a woman. My mother used to blame it on herself. As a dancer at one of the clubs on the strip, I sat many evenings in the dressing room doing my homework. By the time I hit my teens, I’d been desensitized to half-naked women. My ambitions were to give us a better life, and women played no part in that. None of my inner circle are females because I demand it to be that way, although we employ about five hundred women throughout our chains of hotels.

This little woman, though, she’s different, and I feel it through my bones and straight into my chest. I screen capture several shots of her for later. Now, I zoom in and realize she’s not alone.

“Who the hell is that son of bitch with mi sirena?” I bark at the monitors, staring at the backs of a group of people walking through the lobby. A man has got his arm around her shoulder, making me livid. She doesn’t flinch or pull from his hold, letting me know they’re more than familiar and she welcomes his touch.

Rage boils inside of me as I watch the dark-haired beauty move into the arms of another man. I want to rip his arms from his body, then step up to my woman and brush her bangs aside and see those wide doe eyes on me again.

I ache for her to look up at the camera. “Please, mi sirena, turn,” I plead. Her head twists upward as if she hears me, and my heart goes into overdrive. I can’t wait to see if her lips are as soft as they look. “I’m coming for you.” I press my fingers to my lips and then brush them across the screen.

Just then Magnus, my operations manager, knocks. I open it and take my jacket, sliding it on and walking down the hall. Anderson probably had another matter to attend to before handing it off. “What’s up? Dignitaries come in? Celebs?”

“I’m going to meet my future wife.”

  “Wife? Where?”

“They’re in the lobby.” We move quickly, but when I get there, she’s gone. I look around, annoyed as fuck. “Security room, now,” I practically bark, unable to control my irritation.

We head to the room, which is just beside the main lobby behind the concierge desk. He cues up the footage from when I saw them, and then we watch as they enter the hotel restaurant.

“It looks like a wedding party.” He’s right. Everyone looks dressed for a wedding, but I’d probably go apeshit if she’s the one celebrating her marriage to the fuck with her, and that wouldn’t do the hotel any favors. Collecting myself because I know it’ll take at least an hour for them to dine, I take a seat in one of the chairs and wait.

  I need more infor
mation, and it’s much closer than my office. Magnus nudges Anderson out of the way and then cues up the cameras for the restaurant. I notice the anger in Anderson’s face before he lets it go. He knows it must be important if we’re both in here. I’m going to have a talk with Magnus about that shit later. Anderson can easily knock Magnus on his ass, so it’s only because he wants to keep his job that he doesn’t.

The both of us search for their table. They have a larger party than I initially noticed. Damn, I’m usually on top of these things, but right now all I want is to be on top of her.

Everyone is cheering, and the just-married couple kiss. They make a lovely couple, but all I notice is my little siren calling to me without saying a word. It’s as if she knows I’m looking for her because she looks up at the camera.

The man next to her pisses me off as he rests his arm on the back of her chair. I want to break all of his bones, taking my time to torture until he understands that she belongs to me. Then the fuck on her other side earns a punch from her, but he laughs it off. My chest burns crazily. Why the hell is she surrounded by so many men? The men outnumber the women in their party. More importantly, they are too close to my little siren.

“Boss, we have a hit on the married couple and the other gentleman on the far end leaning into the little woman at his side. The newlyweds are William and Mary Brandon. He’s a DA in Texas. The other guy is Garrett Steele out of Steeleville, Texas. He founded the town along with his brother Jackson Steele over five years ago.” He hands me the tablet with the information gathered. I’m not interested unless it has to do with her, so I give it right back.

“Again. None of that shit matters. I want her name and the name of the fucker with a death wish.” He takes the tablet without a fuss and continues his digging. They are probably guests of the hotel. If we have one of their names, we should have the others.

Magnus knows that this must be serious as fuck because unless there’s a problem with a guest, I never even give them a second look. Never have I wanted to see a woman the way I want to see her. Naked, sprawled out over my sheets, me taking orgasms from her body until taking my own and leaving my future child. The need intensifies as I wait to find out more about my siren.

“We’re using the facial recognition software, but it will take time, boss.” I don’t want to hear that shit, but I can’t change that I’m demanding a miracle.

“Check the fucking guest registration. I’ll go congratulate the couple myself.” My security team stays on me as I make my way over to my future wife. She doesn’t have a ring on her finger, and the guy has already removed his arm away from her to eat his food. When I look at them, do I see a familial resemblance, or is that me being hopeful?

“Hello, I am Emiliano Martín. I’m the owner of this hotel, and I’d like to congratulate the happy couple.” I introduce myself, making sure my beauty learns my name because I want to hear call it out all night long.

The groom shakes my hand and then tugs his woman toward him like I’ve any interest in her, which I don’t. “Thank you, Mr. Martín.”

“I’ll let you continue your meal. Again, congratulations.” I might have been speaking to the married couple, but I never take my eyes off my little siren. She dips her head down, but not before I see the blush on her soft, pale cheeks. I leave regrettably to let their party enjoy their meal while I watch from a distance and learn about my woman.

Twenty minutes later, my security team gets it done. “They’re all staying at the hotel. The suites were paid by Mr. Brandon, but the room you’re interested in is registered to Anthony and Roxanne Santini.”

I snarl, slamming my fist down on my desk. “We’re still looking through his background to see if they’re married.” He searches through social media sites and then turns the tablet to me. There she is. “I believe they are siblings,” he says, which I’ve deduced myself. Good.

I will go to her tonight. She has to be mine, big brother and his buddies be damned. I can’t let her get away. “Keep eyes on her floor,” I order.

“I’ll put Rodgers up there,” Magnus says as he shoots a message.

“Any movement from the room, let me know.” My tone leaves no question that I’m dead serious. They’ll be out of a job if she gets away from me.

  “We’re on it, sir.”

I nod. He stands to leave when I add, “Oh, and Magnus, manners go a long fucking way. Anderson should have gut-checked your ass for shoving him out of the way. Then you would have both been on my shit list.”

  “Won’t happen again.”

“Good.” I nod again and send him on his way.

As much as I want to chase her down right now, I have a hotel to run and there are always problems to deal with or meetings for me to attend.

I look at my watch and realize that my best friend and partner should have reached Milan, so I send him a text. I’m getting married.

Seconds later, my phone rings. “Are you fucking serious? I just left last night, this morning, or some shit.” Time zones really fuck with his head. He’s a numbers guy, but the changeover gets him every time.

“This is Vegas. You know how it works.” We have a bunch of twenty-four-hour wedding chapels for a reason, although I don’t know if my siren would enjoy that so I’ll have to accommodate her wishes.

“Yes, but you have to actually speak to a female for it to happen.” Having known each other since we were kids, he knows me and my lack of interest in the opposite sex.

“Well, we haven’t spoken yet, but she’s mine and we’re going to get married.”

“Don’t get married before I get back. Two weeks. Understand? I want to be your best man.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be asked?” I fuck with him.

“That’s some bullshit, Milo. I’m going to have to talk her out of marrying an asshole like you.”

A growl comes out of me that even surprises me. “Damn, you’re really crazy over her. Maybe she’ll prefer me instead.”

“You’re the asshole. Have fun, and get some fucking work done or you can’t be my best man.”

“I knew you’d see it my way. Get your woman.”

I laugh. “I’ve got to go. Magnus is earning his keep today.” I switch the call and Gavin drops the call on his end. “What’s up?”

“She’s gone out with her brother and two other people. Do you want someone to tail them?”

“Yes. Let me know where they’re going.” I’ve officially become a stalker, although technically it’s my staff on that job. “I want all the information they can collect on my future wife.”

Three hours pass when I see movement on her floor. I get a text letting me know she’s back and the brother left her at the elevator. “Thank you.” I rush to my suite and prepare for her, and then make my way to her floor.

  Chapter 2

  Roxie

After the killer romantic ceremony, we step into the hotel lobby where from wall to wall it screams opulence. I want to run my hands along the sculptures as we pass them. Then something pulls my eyes to the cameras. They’re not as visible as the ones in the main hallways, but I can still see the light through the crown molding around the ceiling. “Come on, little sister. I’m starving. You can admire the artwork once we’re done eating.”

We head into the hotel’s fancy restaurant at lunch time to celebrate Beast and Mary’s wedding. The ceremony was short and beautiful. I couldn’t be happier for them. Mary’s sweet, and Beast apparently is sweet under his gruff exterior—well, only for Mary, it seems.

Cyber leans over and teases me. “You keep eyeing the cameras like you’re going to steal something.”

“Fuck off.” I punch him in the arm and then go back to my menu as he laughs. He’s a dick, but he’s my brother’s close friend and one of the dozen Steele Riders. My brother is their hand-to-hand combat weapons expert, while Cyber does their tech. I want to ring both of their necks most of the time because they’re overprotective.

  We’re all having a gre
at time when a man walks up to the table with two other men, and my heart seems to jump out of my chest. My mouth parts as I stare like a silly little girl, but I can’t take my eyes off of him. The man has to be at least six foot two with shoulders almost as broad that make his men behind him look a bit small. The crisp dark black suit and shirt scream wealth and rigidity. Is he rigid everywhere? I can’t believe how turned on I am.

Along with the killer smile, his eyes are destroying my panties. The only thing remotely out of place is his hair, which is mussed up like he’s been running his fingers through it. He tilts his lip up slightly directed at me, and I think I’ve ruined the seat. My pussy throbs like this is foreplay. Hell, if it is, I’m easier to please than I ever expected. Maybe it’s just him.

He has a hold on me that throws me for a loop. Earlier, I felt like the cameras were focused on me. Maybe they were?

Desire owns me at this moment, shooting straight through every single nerve ending and landing dead center on my pussy. I can’t hide my blush, so I drop my head. Once he finally walks away from our table, I lift my head and join the crowd, pretending to hear what they’re saying, but all I can think about is Emiliano. Is he watching me from the cameras? I look up and give it a smile before we leave the restaurant.

What I don’t miss is Beast and Cyber talking. “Wow. That’s fucking amazingly cool,” Cyber says.

“I want to know who he knows,” William says. “As a DA, I don’t like free stuff.”

“We aren’t even in Texas, so it’s okay, but I’ll still check him out.” I don’t like them looking at him, but I plan to learn everything I can because I feel this insane pull to him.

  “Thanks.”
