  I smile as I wait for her to come in. My security alerted me that she’s on her way up. I sit in my office with my hands behind my head. Grace doesn’t understand why I need a personal assistant and thinks she’s being replaced. I have no intention of keeping Addison permanently.   The elevator pings, and I sit straight up. “Mr. Bryant said to go straight into his office.”

  I take a calming breath and try to relax my permanent hard-on. “No. You see this? This is what you did yesterday with your performance.” I spin my laptop toward her. “So I thought it would be a wonderful punishment to have you work alongside me to make it up.”

  “I don’t have time for a full time gig.”

  “So what would you like me to do?”

  “I need a cup of coffee.”

  “Seriously, you hired me to be your coffee girl.”

  “Someone kept me up last night. I have a meeting in ten minutes, so please get the coffee. Black, two sugars.”

  “Where is the kitchen area?”

  “My coffee pot is over there.” I point to the Keurig next to the opposite wall and sitting area.

  “No, just time. I had to wait for the new one with all the security features from my tech department.”

  “I’m really sorry.”

  “Okay. I’ve got a meeting. I’ll be back in two hours. Don’t break anything.”

  “Do you need me to go with you to take notes?”

  “Not dressed like that. None of my staff will be able to concentrate on the meeting.” I try to control the disgust at the idea of them looking at what’s mine, but it’s so damn hard to do. “Just don’t break anything.”

  Chapter 4

  Addison

  He leaves and before I can go ask him what to do, he calls his assistant to follow him. She does like a simpering fool and I’m left standing in his office with nothing to do. I suddenly need to pee, so I head out into the lobby and start looking for the little girl’s room. Damn it, where is it?

  I pass by the glass windows of the conference room where Tanner sits at the end of the table listening to another guy standing up in a suit. The guy loses his train of thought and stares at me. I try to get away before I get in trouble, but Tanner is out of his seat and to the door.

  “Ms. Reynolds, my office right now.” I follow him silently back to his office. “Where the fuck are you going? I thought I told you to stay in my office.”

  “I had to use the bathroom.”

  “There’s a bathroom in my office. Now go in there and behave. Damn it. You’re interrupting my meeting.”

  “I’m sorry. I had no idea your employees can’t concentrate on the task at hand.”

  “Stay your ass in here until I get out.” Damn, he’s even sexier when he’s angry.

  “What am I supposed to do?”

  “I don’t know. Plan the wedding.”

  “Fine. Ugh. Tyrant.” I’m going to mess up everything in there. Maybe he’ll spank me for being a bad girl.

  Two hours later and I’ve managed to call the florist and start the seating arrangements.

  “Comfortable?”

  “Yes,” I say, smiling up at him.

  “I need you to type up these notes. Grace and I have a lunch meeting.”

  “And I’m supposed to type it on…”

  “Here you go, smart ass.” He hands over a laptop and the document is already started for me. I watch as he goes into the closet and pulls out his dark blue wool trench coat. Fuck, my pussy throbs in his chair. I’m sure the seat is entirely wet.

  “What? I was bored.”

  “Come here.” I follow his order and walk over to him attempting to look remorseful w

  Tanner

  I go home frustrated every single day. Tonight’s Emmitt’s Bachelor party.   “Where’s Phil?” Emmitt interrupts before Frank and I fight.

  “He’s not going to make it tonight. He’s at a strip club, paying to get his balls licked,” Gore says. I like him more than Frank, but they both are assholes who have their eyes on Addison whenever they get a chance. I pass around a couple of beers to each of the guys.

  “How about some pool?” I ask.

  “I’m in,” Emmitt says.

  “For money?” Frank tosses out there.

  “How much?” I’m the wealthiest of all of us, so I’m not worried about the money. It also helps that I can whip their asses within two turns.

  “How about a hundred bucks a round,” Frank says since he’s the one who mentioned money.

  “I’m in,” Emmitt and Gore say.

  “Works for me.” I roll back my sleeves and loosen my tie.

  “I’m going to wipe the floor with you. Then I’m going to look for the maid of honor and fuck her pretty little brains out,” Franks says, stroking the pool stick.

  “Shut the fuck up and play,” Emmitt orders. I walk away from the bastard before I kill him. I can’t ruin Emmitt’s wedding by going to jail for murder.

  I practically stormed out of the house, feeling the cold air strike me in the face. “Sir,” Bentley says, opening the door for me to jump in the back.

  “Hello, we’re roommates, Addison. He’s heard your loud cries for Tanner too.”

  “Oh God,” I sigh, putting the pillow over my face and holding it tightly while muttering to myself. How am I going to face anyone today?

  “Remember, you’re the tough, smart, maid of honor who has way too many things to fuss over to worry about Tanner, but I will say he’s probably going to look super-hot in his tux today,” she teases, wagging her brows and nodding her head.

  “Asshole, get out. Get some sleep. Can’t have you looking like the Crypt Keeper on your wedding day.”

  “Love you, too, fucking goblin.” She laughs and walks out of the room, closing the door behind her. I nestle down again to try and sleep, but the door opens again. With a smile she adds, “Oh and his room is next door.” She closes it quickly, missing the pillow I toss at her. Sleep isn’t going to come now.
